Dining & Design at Droog in Amsterdam

by in amsterdam, holland, the netherlands, travel

A recent trip to Amsterdam found me recharging for a few hours at Droog, a light and lovely studio, cafe and hotel in the historical centre of this city known as “Venice of the North”. Crossing everyday objects with pleasing and functional art, Studio Droog is a beautiful space that offers well-designed and quirky pieces with the potential to turn any home into a modern gallery. Upstairs is a well-lit, stylish cafe serving a light savoury lunch, strong Dutch coffee, desserts and all important wi-fi. I liked everything about this space and it was certainly easy to settle in for a couple of hours to hide from the rain and catch up on work. If the Studio & Cafe are any indication, the rooms at Hotel Droog should give an equally modern and carefully-curated place to stay.

Loved Droog. I could spend a lot of money in that store – such great, unique things.

Definitely going to make a point of popping in to Droog on our next trip to A’dam. Looks like our kind of place – it’s got a cafe and cool stuff 🙂 Thanks!
